Program Overview & Benefits

A Foundational 1-Year Project-Based Research Skills Course for High School Students

The veriii AC Research Foundations program, developed in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education (Penn GSE), ACT, and KSE Global, is a one-year (two-semester) academic enhancement program designed to build foundational research skills and provide students with hands-on project experience.

This Penn GSE designed curriculum—along with all accompanying class materials—is designed to immerse students in diverse disciplinary research methods and epistemologies, cultivating a strong foundation in critical thinking, inquiry, and academic exploration.

Unlike existing high school programs such as AP, IB, or GAC, which emphasize broad-based academics, the veriii AC Research Foundations program focuses specifically on research skills and cultivating a research mindset to prepare students for the rigor of college-level inquiry.

For Students

Develops essential research knowledge, skills and mindsets with a Penn GSE designed curriculum.

Awards a Certificate and Evaluation Report jointly issued by KSE and ACT.

Provides a competitive edge in the college/university application process.

For Teachers

Penn GSE provides educators with 10 hours of professional development that focuses on project-based learning and its direct applications to teaching the veriii AC Research Foundations curriculum.

Opportunity for teachers to earn a life-long Certificate of Participation in Project-Based Learning jointly issued by Penn GSE and KSE.
